Brew for Autism
Pour Standards and the Richmond County Beer Club (RCBC) present "Brew for Autism" on January 24, 2015 at The Great Hall at Snug Harbor.
Brew for Autism is a beer culture event, with 100% of proceeds benefiting Autism Speaks, the world's leading autism science and advocacy organization, dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism, increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders, and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.
Last year, Brew for Autism raised roughly $9,000 for Autism Speaks. In 2015, we want to beat that number, but we need your support.
Each ticket includes:- Samples of unique home-brewed beers, all created by local NYC home brewers
- Samples of local craft beer selections
- Snacks provided by select local restaurants
- One entry for any of the fantastic raffles prizes. Additional raffle tickets available for purchase.
- A commemorative sampling glass
Clubs are important to the community in a number of ways. They provide a place for individuals to come together and discuss similar interests, as well as create opportunities for members to learn more about their passion. For our two clubs, Pour Standards and Richmond County Beer Club, supporting our community has been our highest priority.
Brew for Autism is important for us because it allows us to give back. For a modest donation of $55 dollars, attendees will be able to enjoy a selection of beer samples provided by local breweries and homebrewers from the NYC metro area.
For those looking for safe transportation to or from Brew for Autism, Mid Island Car Service is an official transportation sponsor. Attendees can make a reservation with Mid Island Car Service through Thursday, January 22.
To reserve a cab for the event, simply email reservations@midislandcars.com, with the subject line "Brew for Autism," and include the information below:

- Contact Phone Number
- Number of Passengers
A portion of the cab fare will be donated to Autism Speaks.
