Join us for an afternoon of entertainment, light refreshments and making connections. This event will showcase a juried mix of emerging and ethnic visual and performing artists through live performances, visual exhibits and tabling for presenters and curators who book regional talent in our state.

This will be a great day of networking with other artists, funders and arts professionals; as well as a resource area hosted by regional arts organizations that offer services and support for artists. Get a professional photo taken by Ijo Arts' Inye Wokoma ($25); or a FREE one-on-one consulting session about your website or social media sites!

Upon arrival to Meydenbauer center, at the event sign-in/registration table, you can sign up for a one-on-one session to be held throughout the event in a break-out "chat room". Get feedback about your artist web site, general web promotion, and social media strategies.

Zithri Ahmed Saleem is a non-profit executive and developer of several award-winning STEM education programs. He has 15 years of experience in design and strategic execution of programs and public-private partnerships. Most notably as Director of Education at Technology Access Foundation, Zithri designed several programs that transformed a small local, non-profit (TAF) into a national award-winning institution. He has provided extensive consultation on utilizing internet resources and website development with artists at all stages of their careers and arts organizations from local-grassroots groups to larger institutions such as Seattle Center.

Ijo Arts Media Group is a media production and media strategy consulting firm based in Seattle, WA and founded by award winning photographer, Inye Wokoma. They specialize in producing film and video production, editorial and portrait photography, photo-illustration and developing media-centric strategies. Inye Wokoma, has photographed such artists as India Arie; and his work has appeared in: USA Today Weekend Magazine, People Magazine, Colorlines Magazine, and The Seattle Times.

The Arts and Social Change Committee is a collaboration between, and proudly sponsored by: 4Culture, ArtXchange Gallery, The City of Bellevue, Novum Lux Consultants, Seattle Center, Seattle Office of Arts and Culture, Washington State Arts Commission. Core organizers of this committee produced similar events called the "Ethnic Arts Connection" in 2006, 2008 and 2010 at Seattle Center; as well as several Arts & Social Change events since then.
