Voices From the Heart Concert

Join the 200 women of Voices from the Heart as they choose happiness in song! Joanne Connolly directs the joyful singing on Saturday, November 22, at 4:00 and 7:30 p.m. at South Church in Portsmouth. "We're all geared up to make music to inspire great gladness!" says Connolly, "We really have such a fabulous line up of tunes from a range of styles and sounds all about being happy.....from South African songs to a Loreena McKennitt Tango, from a soulful contemporary song based on ancient Chinese philosophy to Macedonian village music celebrating joy in everyday life, to Gospel songs about singing, and ending up with the iconic, Pharrell Williams' 'Happy'!"

"And to share all this happiness we have such an amazing group of instrumentalists, with Matt Jenson on piano, Gary Sredzienski on accordion, Joel Glassman on gypsy violin and Randy Armstrong and Drumamma on African percussion!!," shares Connolly, "This concert will get you up and celebrating an amazing kick off to the holiday season!"

Join Voices and all their collective happiness on November 22 at 4:00 and 7:30 at South Church, 292 State St in Portsmouth. Tickets are $10 ahead and $12 at the door.
