AIDS Caregiver Kit Assembly! - January 11, 2010
Each year in observance of World Aids Day, Women of Vision Houston members gather to prepare AIDS Caregiver Kits. Each kit consists of a hard case holding critical medical supplies such as disposable gloves, antibacterial soap, flashlight & batteries, acetaminophen, antifungal cream, oral rehydration salts, water purification tablets, etc. The kits are shipped by World Vision to caregivers around the world, who are often providing hands-on care to many AIDS sufferers within one village. In addition to providing much-needed yet fairly "basic" medical supplies, each kit contains a handwritten note of encouragement and becomes a tangible symbol of care and compassion to all who receive them.
