Prints in The British Museum Print Room
Entering the British Museum Print Room is an electrifying and unforgettable experience. There are unimaginable treasures inside and we will spend our time looking at some of the best of these. We will start with the fascinating and technically outstanding works of Durer. At a time when the Reformation was gathering steam his works reveal his deep observation of the theological atmosphere, the natural world around him and his own personal beliefs as an artist. Rembrandt was his creative successor. Developing the medium of etching to a new degree, his virtuoso works will stun and amaze.
