Saul Sanchez returns home to the rough Los Angeles neighborhood of Highland Park, also known as The Avenues, after serving a decade-long prison sentence. Under the guidance of a sympathetic parole officer, he seeks a reunion with his estranged young daughterall amid suffocating pressure to return to his all-too-familiar gangland familia. Featuring breakthrough performances by Hector Atreyu Ruiz (Death Sentence, Splinter) and Tracey Heggins (Twilight: Breaking Dawn, Medicine for Melancholy, LUV) "Avenues" tackles the isolation felt by former convicts while showcasing a man's personal journey of fatherhood and quest for self-discovery.
