Indian Classical Sarod Master Rajeev Taranath in Concert
Acclaimed sarod player Pandit Rajeev Taranath will perform on Saturday, October 25th at 7:30 pm at the Sacred Stream Center in Berkeley. The concert will be Mr. Taranath's only Bay Area performance.

A distinguished disciple of the late Maestro Ali Akbar Khan, Rajeev Taranath's performances masterfully combine the depth and rigor of the tradition of Hindustani classical music with an inspired imagination and emotional intensity. He has received many awards and honors for this contribution to Indian music, including the Indian government's highest award in the arts from the Sangeet Natak Aakdemi.
Joining Taranath on tabla for the Berkeley performance will be long time collaborator and brilliant percussionist Abhiman Kaushal. Mr. Kaushal is a sought-after concert accompanist and soloist and is presently on the faculty at UCLA.
