Shadow of the Blues: A Vocal Chamber Music Recital
Join soprano Erin G. McCarthy, mezzo-soprano Sarah Maines, and pianist Susan McDaniel for a rich, resonant array of 19th, 20th, and 21st Century arias, duets, and art songs, all by American composers.
The program features the Northwest premier of Hair Emergency!, a cycle inspired by online reviews of hairdressers by award-winning composer Richard Pearson Thomas. Erin, Sarah, and Susan are excited to share this riotous, clever set of hilarious songs with Portland audiences.
