The CUPPA Alumni Association would like to invite alumni and current students on a return tour of The Plant, an amazing example of urban agriculture, sustainability, and innovation located near the former Union Stock Yards in the heart of the Back of the Yards neighborhood. Situated in a 93,000 square foot former meatpacking facility and billed as "part vertical farm, part food-business incubator, part research and education space," The Plant aims to soon become a "net-zero-energy" business, existing entirely off the grid. During this interesting and informative tour, you will learn about a wide range of topics, including indoor, urban agriculture; economic development and business incubators; and an amazing example of building reuse.

This extremely popular tour is capped at 30 participants and WILL sell out, so be sure to reserve your tickets today!
