at the Dwyer Cultural Center 6PM to 9PM

This reception will bring together Harlem film, television and new media professionals as well as celebrity guests and supporters, to honor two of our community's outstanding innovators and pioneers,filmmakers Pearl Bowser and Stanley Nelson.

Our performance space will also be dedicated to and named the Ossie Davis and Rudy Dee Performance Space. In this newly named performance space, segments will be shown of LIFE'S ESSENTIALS with Ruby Dee. It's a documentary celebrating 90 years of love, art, and activism, directed by Muta Ali Muhammad, their grandson.
