MAP Lecture Series with Robert Stolorow, Ph.D. *EVENT SOLD OUT*

Dr. Stolorow is a renowned theorist, therapist, and author who integrates psychoanalysis and phenomenological thinking. He is most known for his ground-breaking work on intersubjectivity in the therapeutic alliance with his co-author George Atwood. He holds degrees in both Clinical Psychology and Philosophy.

He is a Founding Faculty Member and Training and Supervising Analyst at the Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis, Los Angeles; a Founding Faculty Member at the Institute for the Psychoanalytic Study of Subjectivity, New York City; and a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the UCLA School of Medicine.

His latest books have included reflections of his work in trauma: World, Affectivity, Trauma: Heidegger and Post-Cartesian Psychoanalysis was released in 2011. In 2007 he published Trauma and Human Existence: Autobiographical, Psychoanalytic, and Philosophical Reflections. These works explore the role of philosophy and its applications to the world of psychotherapy.

For more than three decades, Dr. Stolorow and his collaborators have been seeking to rethink psychoanalysis as a form of phenomenological inquiry.
