CABARET at Buzzards Play Productions
With book by Joe Masteroff, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, is based on the John van Druten play I Am A Camera, based in turn on Christopher Isherwood's classic novel Goodbye To Berlin. Set in 1930s Germany, as the Nazi party begins to rise to power, the play follows young American novelist Clifford Bradshaw as he explores the seedy underbelly of Berlin through the decadent Kit Kat Klub, with British headliner Sally Bowles, and the other boarders in Fraulein Schneider's less-than-reputable house on the Nollendorfplatz.
