Northfielders for Justice Teach-In November 2014
In its resolution A/68/12, the General Assembly of the United Nations proclaimed 2014 the International Year of Solidarity with the Palestinian People (http://unispal.un.org/unispal.nsf/solidarity.htm).
In support of the International Year of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, Northfielders for Justice in Palestine/Israel will hold a one teach-in entitled Engaging for Justice: Solidarity with the Palestinian People at the Northfield United Methodist Church, 1401 Maple Street, Northfield. Teach-In attendees will learn about events that led to the Israeli occupation of Palestine, day-to-day conditions for the Palestinian people and prospects for a just peace. It is our hope that the presentations will bring a new sense of insight and critical awareness to the understanding of issues in Palestine and Israel.
General Registration is $40. However, NJP wants to make the Teach-In as accessible as possible to as many people as possible. For scholarship information, contact Jenny Hartley at info@njpmn.org.
