Engaging Fathers: A Broad Spectrum Look at the 'Why' and the 'How'
This conference is presented by the Fatherhood Collaborative Advisory Board of San Mateo County, and sponsored by the County, numerous government departments and local non-profits. Four hours of continuing education credits will be granted for physicians, nurses, and therapists (LCSWs and MFTs). This is a full-day conference, in Redwood City California, for up to 125 participants. Distinguished keynote speakers will offer insights into the importance of father involvement, and techniques for engaging fathers. A series of eight break-out groups will expand on and reinforce the keynote teachings. Each participant will be able to attend two break-outs. Confirmed breakouts are:

Objectives of the conference include: a)learning methods and strategies for interventions with couples; b) development of strategies for working with fathers; c) consideration of methods for working with mothers to enhance fathers' involvement.
