Creative Conversation with John Carnochan
John Carnochan has 30 years' experience of policing and is currently the head of Strathclyde Police's Violence Reduction Unit (VRU).
The VRU was set up in January 2005 and its aim is to develop a strategy that will bring about sustainable reductions in violence within Strathclyde. In April 2006 the Scottish Executive joined forces with the Violence Reduction Unit to create a national approach to tackling violence across Scotland. The VRU's original aim will be fulfilled by effective collaborative alliances. Its fundamental tenet is that 'violence is preventable - not inevitable'.
As part of our Forth Valley Creative Learning programme, John will deliver a Creative Conversation which will engage, inspire and challenge you.
