TACO Junto: Eating Tacos, Discussing Tacos
The dilettantes are hosting our first ever TACO JUNTO on August 26th. Join us in celebrating our first year of juntos and to dive deep into the role tacos play in our lives.
This junto includes taco consumption along with discussion with a diverse group of Chicago taco eaters. As you know, our monthly juntos are free one night events- in our first year of programming we hosted 10 juntos with over 125 participants from all parts of Chicago. We do incur some costs along the way, so we're hosting this taco junto to raise the funds to program free juntos for the upcoming years.
Our next topic looks at tacos to ask: What is the ideal taco? Is there a unifying meat to toppings ratio across tacos? How do we define a great guacamole and what role does it play in our taco consumption? Do our values around taco eating ever make flour tortillas an appropriate choice?
We are inviting folks who are taco consumers, taco disrupters, taco innovators, taco makers, taco designers, and taco enthusiasts as well as anyone who eats tacos on a semi-regular basis.
Location: Design Cloud located at 118 Peoria St #2N, Chicago, IL 60607 Time: 6:30pm-8:30pm Tickets: $20 includes tacos and drinks
Past Juntos include: Private/Public Partnerships, Climate Change, Philanthropy and Ethics of Charitable Giving, Arts in Education, Open Information vs. Capitalism, Beauty in the Media, Gamification, and Live Performance/Digital Mediums
