Community Conversation around LGBTQ Race Equity in Seattle
Join LGBTQ Allyship, Entre Hermanos and the City of Seattle's Race and Social Justice Initiative (RSJI) in a community conversation about how we achieve racial equity in Seattle.
Last year Race and Social Justice Initiative conducted a community survey that reached 3,500 residents across the city and engaged them on various questions around racial equity. You can find the results of the 2013 survey here. Through the feedback from that survey and conversations with community partners, the city has prioritized three areas of focus: Equity in Education, Equitable Development and Equity in Criminal Justice. Mayor Murray also issued Executive Order 2014-02, affirming the City's commitment to RSJI, as well as expanding our efforts moving forward. The information collected during these sessions will inform RSJI's new strategic plan and help to guide how we can work together over the next three years.
