Baraza for Kenya
*Baraza: A Swahili gathering held to raise awareness and share collective wisdom. A baraza is a social affair where current events are discussed, knowledge is built, and relationships forged.

Program will include: Special Guest Speaker, Dr. Carolyn Kissane of New York University's Center for Global Affairs

Speakers will discuss how contemporary development trends such as public-private partnerships, transparency, sustainability, and capacity building look on the ground, and give insight into how one small organization is achieving big results in Eastern Kenya.

Two XO laptops will be raffled off at the baraza! For each raffle ticket you purchase, your name and that of a Vutakaka Junior School student will be entered into the drawing. If your name is drawn, a laptop with your name inscribed will be given to a Vutakaka School student. Raffle tickets must be purchased prior to the event for $10 each-no limit on purchases!
Can't attend the event? You still have the opportunity to purchase tickets and give the gift of technology to a deserving child.
