Dancing in Heels with Sugar Dish @ Alterna-TEASE
You've got your shimmies and struts down, but now it's time to take your high-heeled performance to the next level. In this class you'll learn some simple dance-based techniques for staying on those toes, what do do if you lose your balance, and how to improvise around your choreography when your shoes, body, or the floor won't cooperate. And then we're going to DANCE.
We'll start with a quick barefoot warm-up before putting on our shoes. Once those gams are beautifully be-heeled, we'll get our tootsies acclimated with some quick strutting and simple across-the-floor combinations before sashaying headlong into a sexy choreographed routine.
*NO STREET SHOES. Please bring shoes you can reasonably dance in. Mule-style heels not recommended. Feel free to bring more than one pair and switch it up during class. You're also welcome to take as much of class in your heels as you like and switch to flat shoes or bare feet as the class advances. We'll also be doing some floor work, so if you want to rock knee-pads, please do.
