Seattle Bus Tour- Gates Foundation & Bullitt Center
Jump on board the bus with the NWAIA for a fun-filled trip to Seattle with your peers. We will be touring two of Seattle's most innovative buildings to inspire us on what is possible.
First Stop: the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. For their permanent home, the Gates family chose a location in the heart of Seattle, next to Seattle center. Here, staff and partners work together to help all people get the chance to live healthy, productive lives. Completed in spring 2011, the campus reflects their values in its design, commitment to sustainability, and connection to the community.
Second Stop: The newly constructed Living Building Bullitt Center.
The greenest office building in the world. The goal of the Bullitt Center is to drive change in the marketplace faster and further by showing what's possible today. The era of harm reduction, half steps, and lesser evils is behind us. As a society, we need to be bold in ways that were once unimaginable.
