Duruflé Requiem
March is about Masterworks and the Duruflé Requiem, with its Gregorian chant melodies and comforting approach make this a highlight of the season.
Choral Arts performs one of French composer Maurice Duruflé's greatest works, his Requiem for chorus and organ. Basing his melodies on Gregorian chant, Duruflé has created a piece of timeless lyricism and consolation.
We welcome Douglas Cleveland, acclaimed organist and Virginia Dziekonski, cello for this performance.
