James Beard Public Market Benefit: An Ava Gene's Meal
Ava Gene's is among the busiest and best restaurants in Portland, so getting in to experience their delicious rustic Roman-inspired fare isn't easy. But in support of the James Beard Public Market, chef partner Joshua McFadden and owner Duane Sorenson will open Ava Gene's early on Sunday, June 29th for an inspired traditional mid-day meal to benefit the Market.
This special event will feature a passionately seasonal, market-driven menu that highlights all the best that Ava Gene's has to offer, emphasizing the finest, freshest local produce and meats grown and raised by Pacific Northwest farmers and ranchers. The four course meal will be paired with complimentary Oregon pinot gris, rosé, and pinot noir from The Eyrie Vineyards. Additional details are available at: http://beardmarket.com/2014/06/08/june-29-ava-genes-market-benefit
Executive Director Ron Paul will be on hand to provide an overview and update about the James Beard Public Market, a daily, year-round, indoor-outdoor marketplace to be located at the west end of the Morrison Bridge in downtown Portland.
Proceeds benefit the James Beard Public Market. Wine and gratuity included in ticket price. Space is very limited. Large parties are limited to eight guests. Tickets are expected to quickly sell out. The 50 people who get tickets will be the luckiest folks in Portland!
