Join us Friday, July 11th @ Detroit's beautiful Charles H. Wright Museum for, MAHOGANY @ THE MUSEUM: A Night of Poetry, Music, Art and More!

Cafe Mahogany closed years ago but it's memory and spirit are just as strong as ever. It was a home for poets, students everyday Detroiter's and professionals to meet up on a common ground. It was a coffee shop...a stage. It was a HOME. From our cities greats to internationally known stars, Mahogany held a million beautiful moments. This is about where we've been and where we're going. This will be the first of a yearly event paying tribute to our rich history but also focusing on our bright future.

Hosted by Joel Fluent Greene (3 year host at Mahogany), the evening will feature some of the best talent our city has to offer. Spoken word will blend seamlessly with music and art will be everywhere. We will also be celebrating Fluent's birthday so be prepared for anything!

The evening will also feature a special tribute to Dr. Maya Angelou. This is being planned as appropriate, honest and from the soul. A moment you won't wan't to miss.

We are offering 3 advance ticket price levels:

$15 GENERAL ADMISSION:
General admission. Doors open at 7:30

$25 VIP:
