David Wilcox with very special guest Daniel Martin Moore
Please join us for a one-night only concert featuring singer-songwriter David Wilcox and very special guest Daniel Martin Moore at the Monastery Studio (760 William Howard Taft, Cincinnati, Ohio 45206) on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 8 p.m.
Ohio native David Wilcox- a musical artist whose lyrical insight is matched by a smooth baritone voice, virtuosic guitar chops, and creative open tunings- has a range and tenderness rare in folk music. Wilcox, whose songs have been covered by artists such as k.d. lang, has been reviewed by Rolling Stone, has appeared at Carnegie Hall, and was in honored in 2008 with a silver award In Acoustic Guitar (for singer/songwriter) along with Bob Dylan.
Daniel Martin Moore is an artist who, on the strength of an unsolicited demo, SubPop Records released his quietly striking debut full-length album Stray Age. In February of 2010 SubPop released Dear Companion, an album written and performed by Ben Sollee & Daniel Martin Moore. About this album, produced by Yim Yames from My Morning Jacket, Filter Magazine noted, "this is one painfully beautiful record."
Presented at the intimate Monastery in Walnut Hills. Limited seating is available. Free Parking.
