Spots and Pots: Small Space Gardening
Only have a few plastic pots on your balcony? Stuck with a tiny plot at your community garden? Learn how to optimize your space to create the most bountiful garden possible! You will learn about containers, trellises, soil, fertilizer, and which plants and varieties are best for small spaces. Walk away with loads of information and the confidence to grow your food in the smallest spaces!
About the instructor: Caitlin Moore is the Urban Food Warrior. She has a Bachelor of Science in Plant Biology and Genetics, and is the Co-Director of both the Olympia Seed Exchange and the King County Seed Lending Library. She is currently growing vegetables, herbs, and berries in raised beds and pots in her urban backyard in South Seattle, and has been teaching gardeners how to grow organic food and seed since 2008.
Class format: This class is mostly presentation style.
