Lil' V Book Signing Event

You are cordially invited to meet the Author Vonnya Pettigrew and Illustrator Alex T. Lee of "Lil' V Walks Home for School," an easy reader for children grades Pre-K thru 2nd.

Together, for the first time ever, both the author and illustrator will take to the stage and share their experiences creating this book from concept to publication.

Parents, children, educators, and aspiring authors and illustrators are encouraged to attend!

Lil' V is an urban "explorer"-- a spirited and spunky girl, who lives with her Mom and Dad in a comfortable three- level row-house. She walks through the heart of North Philadelphia on her ways to and from school. One day, she has the chance to walk home by herself for the first time. There's a bit of anxiety in her new-found freedom, but she's determined to be brave. She uses her street smarts and the lessons learned from her loving parents to map out an exciting journey. She illustrates various "rules of the road" that young children should remember.
