During the week of your team's soccer camp, you can spend the other half of the day at HandyGal Studios, the art studio of Pam Consear. It's a great way to get to know your teammates better, off the field!
Each day we'll explore a different art/craft activity. These may include drawing & painting, papier mache, tie-dye, small clay sculptures, found object jewelry-making or sculpture, adventures with scrap fabric, and more! You do not need any art experience or "talent" to enjoy this camp. Just be willing to try new things!
All materials are included in the price of the art camp. If the activities are messy, the studio will provide art shirts to protect your clothing.
Campers should bring: * lunch and a water bottle - we will allow time before art camp to eat your lunch * flip-flops or sneakers to wear in the studio - no bare feet, for your safety!
Schedule & Transportation: Team parents will need to work out carpools to transport the girls between soccer camp and the art studio. The Parent Coordinator for art camp (Amy Gurowitz, Anika's mom) will help with this.
Your team's soccer camp is from 9:00 - 12:00, so Art Camp is from 12:15 - 3:30 pm. The girls will be given time to eat lunch at Pam's after soccer camp, before heading into the studio for art. Families should pick their player up at the studio (3636 Monterey Blvd, Oakland) after art camp.
