Yelp Booze School - N is for Negronis
It my be Summer, but Booze School is year-round, baby! On June 1st at 2:00 PM, join Yelp and The LAB at Extra Virgin for this month's lesson, N is for Negroni! We'll take a look at this classic Camparie-based Italian apéritif and learn how it has evolved into countless variations around the world!
Leading the lesson will be Berto Santoro, bar manager of Extra Virgin and Michael Smith Restaurant. Once voted the #1 bartender in Kansas City by Pitch Magazine, Santoro is the President of the K.C. chapter of the US Bartender's Guild. He has a passion for the barrel aging process, something he is sure to explore during this lesson.
Stay late after class for some extra credit: each attendee will enjoy a complimentary cocktail at the bar, while we compare notes and maybe mingle with our teachers - it's so weird seeing them out in the real world!
This session of Booze School is in conjunction with Negroni Week, a city-wide celebration of the cocktail. Get a jump on the action by learning when, where and how to celebrate with Kansas City's cocktail community while raising money for worthy local charities.
Because Yelp believes in small class-sizes, this session is limited to 20 pupils. Advance tickets are required.
