Gay Pride Comedy Benefit at THE HUB
Kick off Gay Pride Month in Solano with a comedy fest, featuring LGBT and ally comedians at THE HUB in Vallejo!
We're partying to celebrate and fundraise for the newly-formed Travis AFB LGBT group, the FIRST officially-recognized U.S. LGBT military organization in the world! Sponsored by Solano Pride Center at THE HUB in downtown Vallejo, corner of Sonoma Blvd and Marin.
Established and popular local, Bay Area and Sacramento comedians join together to reprise their performances at the successful Pussy Riot benefits at Exit to Oakland earlier this year.
These performers are popular throughout Northern California and include the full spectrum of the LGBTQ and ally rainbow. They include:
Mean Dave, experienced host and producer, performs everywhere in California with his trenchant and confrontational style
Napa-based Gina Ritter, writer-comedian, appears professionally in clubs all over the Bay Area; her act is womanly and seductive
Morgan shares her hilarious observations from life and as a transgender woman after fifty years as a man in the blue collar trades.
Pia Messing (aka Valerie Branch) is a woman embodying a classic drag queen; she has appeared at HellaGay and other festive gay comedy events
Loren Kraut is beloved for her performances as the eccentric lesbian ex-teacher with issues
Michael Patten, from Sacramento, memorably recounts his experiences growing up and coming out
Irene Tu, relatively new to Bay Area comedy, is winning over audiences with her charm and honesty
Big Chuckles established his reputation at Pepperbelly's in Fairfield as a hilarious, bawdy comedian, host and successful producer
Jesus Fuentes, a rising star in Bay Area comedy, is fabulous, funny and flaming
Paul Sanford, of Exit to Oakland, is producer and host.
THE HUB, center of downtown Vallejo's multi-cultural artistic renaissance and host to many shows, co-sponsors and supports the event.
