Musical Improv Class
Learn how to create lyrics, group dance numbers, and tell stories through song - all on the spot. This six-week Musical Improv Class teaches in-depth performance skills, while having a lot of fun in the process. The class focuses on giving tools to improvise songs, choreography, and create entire scenes involving music. Sing a lovely solo, a charming duet, or work together to form a chorus number. Dance in unison with your scene partners without any previously planned choreography. At the end of the course, youll perform at the Historic University Theater in your own Musical Improv show! Improvisers with all levels of musical skill are encouraged to sign up a strong understanding of improvised scene-work is necessary, however. A second level improv class or beyond is recommended as experience.
