More about Do You Shift? A Shapeshifting Documentary:
"Do You Shift? A documentary exploring the perceptions of shifting from one way of being, which could be physical or emotional, into another way of being . . . inviting us to examine ourselves to learn if our current lives are as rich and fulfilled as they can be . . . or . . . are we able to shift into much more?
As film makers, we are searching to find all our possibilities all our capabilities as humans. This is a journey to discover if our current beliefs, if the beliefs taught by our society and culture, might be limiting our perceptions of what is possible. "Do You Shift?" is a voyage of discovery to expand our understandings and help us shift our perspectives.
The concept of shapeshifting is common to human communities as far as we can go back into the history of mankind. It has been a widely common practice amongst Shamans and indigenous tribes all over the globe. Stories and legends such as Zeus in Greek Mythology, Selkies (Woman/Seal) in Scotland, The Norse Berserkers, Dolphin Shifter in Brazil, Skinwalkers in North America, Jackals in African, Bat shifter in South America, and the legendary wolf, bear and bird shifters in America and Europe. Today there is shapeshifting in our pop culture such as the X-Men, The Munsters, The Hulk and in popular vampire books and movies. Recognizing this common thread of shapeshifting found in stories and legends in every culture around the globe, the film will take a closer look to see if these are more than stories. Is shapeshifting possible?
To date we have filmed interviews with mystics such as Eli Serabeth, who shapeshifts in the astral/dream world, and John Perkins who shapeshifted with the Shuar tribe in Ecuador. Fascinating insights from Indian Gurus, Reiki Masters and corporate shifters who have all found energies of animals or forces or gods to shift from their human perspective to one in which they are now more, has furthered our insight into a new consciousness.
We are seeking to interview shifters in all walks of life, and a variety of cultures, to discover how to shift our own world views. Perhaps, if we can shift our perspectives, and our beliefs of what is possible, we can shift into an animal, the energy of a goddess or transform into the wind. Can we harness these energies into our own lives? Where do we end, if not this physical body?
Already we have discovered that humans are capable of so much more than we ever thought possible. These Masters have taught that we are the ones who are limiting our own potential. Learning to recognize the interconnectedness of all life, each and every one of us can discover our own spirit within . . . and with that inner knowledge develop a greater understanding of ourselves and our connection to the world we live in. Thus our world expands.
Our goals are to take our audience on a remarkable journey to expand their beliefs and perspectives . . . challenge them to undertake their own personal journey to discover the power of the individual.
