Celebrating the life of Queen Mary II
Celebrating the life of Queen Mary II of England, The Albany Consort brings you the divine music of the sadly short-lived Henry Purcell. The program includes Come Ye Sons of Art (birthday music), the Funeral Sentences (also used for Purcell's funeral a year later) and some of his finest instrumental music. The 25 musician lineup includes singers, brass, wind, strings and harpsichord. Lunch served after the concert.
