Going Beyond "Posts" and "Tweets": Elevating Your Use of Social Media for Enhanced Volunteer Engagement
Day/Date: Wednesday, May 21, 2014 Time: 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Location: Madison Concourse Hotel, 1 West Dayton Street. Participants are responsible for their own parking expenses.
We are so thrilled to welcome Brianna Purvis and Carly Rudeen from the leading social relationship company, Shoutlet as our speakers for this month's Lunch and Learn!
Brianna is an Account Director with Shoutlet who has exceptional skills in creating and nurturing relationships with customers and vast experience in fundraising, events, and nonprofit work. Carly works as a Digital Marketing Manager with years of experience working in the social media field using her talents in marketing.
Social media has become an increasingly important and useful tool in communicating with and motivating people. Many of us who do use social media tools have a feeling that our use may not result in the impact we were seeking. This Lunch and Learn will focus on how volunteer administrators can create a social media strategy to drive participation at events, recruit volunteers, and promote their mission.
Note: This luncheon would not be a beginner or "how to" course but a more advanced look at how to strategically use social media. Check out the links below if you need a refresher on the various social media platforms before the Lunch and Learn!
Registration Deadline: Wednesday, May 14 at 4:00pm.
The cost for this DCAVS Lunch and Learn Program is $14.00 for members and $19.00 for non-members. The cost includes meal and seminar fee. Payment is required, once registered, whether you attend or not. A meal cannot be guaranteed to those arriving past 12:10 p.m.
