Worried about immigrant families who are being separated in this violent new political era?
Us too!
Rather than sharing another social media post, come join other neighbors and friends who care to learn from and offer real tangible support for some of the Bay Areas wisest and most committed experts working with families.
There will be a conversation with two members of UCSFs UCSF/SFGH Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Child Trauma Research Program: Alicia Lieberman, program director, and Vilma Reyes, associate Clinical Professor and associate Director of Community Programs moderated by author Elissa Strauss. Both of them are working tirelessly to provide parent and child mental health support to local Bay Area immigrant communities during this time of trauma.
They will discuss the present situation, as well as their broader findings on how to support parent-child attachment among traumatized communities.
We will eat brunch together, learn, and donate money to shore up their essential work right now.
