DEREK TIMM : Timms artwork is inspired by the drama and beauty of nature, expressed through bold brushstrokes, layered textures, and shifting light. His goal is to spark an emotional responsewhether calm or awe at natures raw intensity. Recognized with awards for his artwork from a young age, he now balances his creative work with leading Montalvo Homes & Estates and serving as Mayor of Scotts Valley, where he enjoys representing his community, sharing his writing, and connecting with neighbors.

CHRISTIAN RYUN: My name is Christian Ryun and I am a photographer based in Santa Cruz, CA. In middle school, I worked all summer to afford my first camera. That little camera opened the door to a lifelong love of photography.. After many many years. I found my passion in astrophotography through the Great American Total Solar Eclipse of 2017. Something that awe inspiring really grabbed a hold of me and I have been hooked ever since. In addition to photography, I have also been backpacking around the Western US for over 20 years. By combining views of backcountry wonders, and the heavens I hope to bring a sense of calm to the viewer. Every pinpoint of light in the sky is another Sun like ours. To understand the vast distances and time it took to reach our eye is amazing, and makes problems on Earth just feel a little smaller. I hope you enjoy the views, some familiar and some otherworldly!
