Kuna LUNNA and Camilla are world travelers and dance teachers.
All of our artists are returning back to Milwaukee and have never taught together! This will be an incredibly unique and memorable experience! These teachers are some of the community favorites worldwide, and being with them will elevate your world , connect and inspire you.
One dance with Kuna made me find the dance genre I always wanted to learn and grow. Kuna is an amazing person, having been to over 200 countries and leads countless large and small groups with connection and experience. Kuna teaches patiently through inspiration, and provides the steps for any person to become the experience like he is.
When I attended a dance marathon in NYC, I was recruiting talent undercover to come teach in Milwaukee. When I asked who everyones favorite dance was with, a resounding answer came through as LUNNA! Lunna is a passionate and pure dance artist, that teaches with gentle guidance and encouragement, bringing contemporary and traditional together so effortlessly.
Camilla came to Milwaukee completely by trust and word of mouth that she is amazing. Camilla DELIVERED. Camilla is adventurous, open, brave, and kind in her teaching. You will have glitter on you, so might as well wear your sustainable planet friendly glitter to the event!
My name is Grace, owner of ConnectionDanceMKE, and I am your local organizer and OG Zouker in Milwaukee WI since 2018, when i met Kuna. For over 10 years, I continue to travel and enjoy multiple partner dance genres, performance, and teach a Universal Partner Dance experience, as well as partner dance basics in multiple genres, Brazilian Zouk being my favorite. I hold a passion for human rights and combine my spirituality into dance. I am proof that you can start at any age.
Brazilian Zouk is a modern intimate partner dance, combining many ballroom styles, mainly lambada, with contemporary flair danced to all kinds of world music influenced by African rhythms, French Carribean music, Konpa, Brazilian folk, pop, hip hop and so much more!
ALL LEVELS ARE WELCOME. You do not need a partner. Please bring water, socks (wool socks are best), spare outfits, a towel, deodorant, toothbrush/paste, mints, and your big open heart and mind!
Zoukers dance long hours, and encourage you to join us at whatever pace you feel. All options will be a la carte, but we want you to immerse the whole weekend!!!
