The Candidate:
There is only one solution to the problems in Congress: elect more Democrats, and Washington's 5th Congressional District presents an important opportunity. The incumbent for this office is the highly partisan Republican Cathy McMorris Rodgers, a key player responsible for Congress's 13% approval rating.
Joseph Pakootas is far more accomplished than Ms. McMorris Rodgers was when she was elected: he is the CEO of the Colville Tribal Federal Corporation (CTFC), and has served on the Tribal Council and as Tribal Chairman.
