M.O.T.'s in Marrakesh
Leave the salty water and matzah to your mom.
This ain't her seder.
On the Friday before Passover, we're paying homage to our Egyptian roots with a North-African themed feast.
Thanks to chef Melanie Shurka, baker Shannon Sarna, and mixologist (and Pop-Up Shabbat co-founder) Melissa Dain, you'll enjoy:
spicy ras el hanout challah
braised beef tagine stewed with apricot & prunes
white wine & cardamom poached pears served with creme fraiche
hot sweet tea paired with a Mahia fig & aniseed sipper
And that's just the tip of the karpas.
Zikrayat, a drumming duo, will delight us with music from The Golden Age of Egypt. Kea Carpets & Kilims will surround us with their striking Berber rugs. And you may just get whacked with a scallion to make things really authentic...
