Ethiopian & Cambodian Tour
No matter how much you know about Chicago, you will discover something new!
Experience Chicago through the Community Cornerstones Bus Tour! Visit two of Chicago's ethnic museums and cultural centers in neighborhoods around the city for a fun experience of culture, history, and local community.
On this tour first, visit the Ethiopian Community Association of Chicago for the behind the scenes look at their collection of objects used in Ethiopia and taste sambusa, a crispy savory wrap traditionally stuffed with vegetables or meat. Then travel to Albany Park, one of Chicago's most diverse neighborhoods. There visit the Cambodian American Heritage Museum and the Killing Fields Memorial to experience how this community transforms a cultural space into spiritual healing, and taste fresh spring rolls and sweet sticky rice.
The tour includes a food tasting, travel, and admission to each museum.
This tour is organized by Chicago Cultural Alliance, a consortium of 32 ethnic museums and cultural centers.
