The class of 2026 invites you to their production of scenes from METAMORPHOSES, by Mary Zimmerman
Thursday, March 7 4:00pm Friday, March 8 6:00pm
The performance will take place in Hazel Hall at Seattle Waldorf High School. Seating is limited; advanced tickets are strongly recommended. In Mary Zimmerman's modern classic, various myths from Ovid's "Metamorphoses" are given new life. This ensemble piece coheres around the presence of water -- the ultimate mercurial substance, both life-giving and life-taking, which serves as the unified setting, both metaphorically and literally, of the play. All students take on multiple roles, and have contributed to all aspects of the design and production. METAMORPHOSES is witty, lyrical, unexpected, often funny, and always theatrical -- an ideal match for this group of students.
Some mature themes; recommended for ages 11 and up. Runtime is approximately 1 hour, no intermission.
Tickets are sliding scale, $0-30.
