Come and enjoy a bold and multi-faceted program of new chamber music featuring the Rose City Brass Quintet along with percussionist Wanyue Ye and vocalist Sarah Beaty.
As always with Cascadia Composers, this event puts the spotlight on living composers, breathing new life into classical traditions. The Rose City Brass Quintet will take you on a mesmerizing journey through the realms of conflict and resolution. Many works on the program are premieres, and you'll be the first to hear their innovative fusion of tradition and contemporary vision. Come join us and get a glimpse into the future of contemporary musical art.
The rich and varied program includes works by 13 members of Cascadia Composers: Theresa Koon, Dinah Bianchi, David A. Jones, Nicholas Yandell, Christine Richardson, Mark Pritchard, Ilana S. Cotton, Jan Mittelstaedt, Ken Davies, Adrienne Albert, Brian Magill, Timothy Arliss OBrien and Liz Nedela. The Rose City Brass Quintet features: Logan Thane Brown, trumpet; Joseph Klause, trumpet; Lars Campbell, trombone; Daniel Partridge, horn, and JáTtik Clark, tuba.
