Phoebe Hunt in a Woods Hole living room
Phoebe Hunt will perform a concert in a Woods Hole living room on Sunday, November 19 at 4 PM. Doors open at 3:30. Ticket holders will be informed of the exact Woods Hole concert location - and other important information - by email about 24h before the show.
An NPR review said, With a twang in her voice and her trademark energetic fiddling, Texas singer-songwriter Phoebe Hunt tells the story of a woman who is determined to make her own way in the world.
Phoebe herself says, "I do love performing and when I perform I try to leave my own personal baggage backstage and really put on a show . . . [you might hear me] singing a Billy Holiday ballad followed by an original reminiscent of Pasty Cline, or more gut wrenching blues similar to early Bonnie Raitt or classic like Dinah Washington. But am currently working on a modern sound with similarities to Feist or Regina Spektor. On the violin I am working on everything from Texas Swing, to Jazz and Blues Fiddle, to bluegrass and even some Norwegian tunes. I love it all."
I was impressed by the power of her voice when I first heard her sing in 2016, but she's also got a wicked mean fiddle thing. It's going to be a great show!

At the concert, windows will be wide open for good ventilation, and CO2 levels will be monitored, so masks will be optional. This may make it a bit chilly, so please consider bringing a sweater or shawl. And keep your vaccinations up to date!
