fabbrica materasso d'argento

This will be the first of several performances presented at Zaccho this year by dawsondance SF (ddSF). In collaboration with soprano Christy Royahem, "fabbrica materasso d'argento" created in residence, investigates the marriage of music, voice, and dance; the physical possibilities created by this matrimony; and the influence each of the components has on the union. The movement compositions are abstract and independent of each other, but hold within them narratives that could intermingle.

Coming back here to Zaccho is like coming home after a long journey. I spent several years in the space exploring with Joanna in years past. As I did then, I continue to find warmth, love, and a sense of freedom to explore in this enriching space. I am honored to have my work in the presence of love.
