Staying Alive! Bi-polar, Depression, Mental Illness and Comedy!
This month Exit to Oakland presents "STAYIN' ALIVE" in "house our home at 752 18th at Brush an evening of ex quisitely funny and popular local stand-up comedians. Each fhas crafted a unique approach to comedy that uses wit and insight to affirms the gift of life. Many are openly diagnosed with bipolar disorder, depression, OCD or other issues. All have crafted an affirmation of life that makes pain bearable through wit, wry humor, unique insights, and alternately wry and guffaw-provoking humor.
Starring headliners: Iris Benson, Jesse Hett, Loren Kraut, Richard Toomer with host Paul Sanford.
The evening is a fundraiser for Bay Area NAMI, the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill, and the Bipolar/Depressive Support Alliance.
