APPEARING: BOBBY GRINDROD Versatile Bobby can usually be found fronting guitar-based bands and indeed, an early 45 garnered four and a half stars from Rolling Stone magazine. However, his vocal stylings owe less to rock 'n' roll and more to the rich tradition of popular song that Anthony Newley was a master of.
As frontman of erstwhile 'swingdie' pioneers, 'Friends of The Bride', he was described by The Times as "heading the nu-croon scene" and was known for his sharp, 1960s dress sense. Time Out reckoned he supplied "the silkiest vocals this side of Soho" and Soundsxp.com hailed him as "indiepop's greatest voice". Metro were quick to follow suit, devoting an entire page to Bobby and proclaiming that Friends of The Bride were "the hippest band in town"
APPEARING: STEVE FURST * West End super star (Matilda) * Comedian - straight from a sell out show at St.James' Theatre dedicated to our Mr.Newley! * Telly star * Movie star * Third year running compere at Newley Night.
Who is Steve? "Furstly" he is our friend!

APPEARING: CLIFFORD SLAPPER Our piano man of Soho... I think it would be easier to ask who Cliff hasn't accompanied! He has recently wrote a book on Mike Garson, Bowie's pianist, and while we are name dropping, Clifford has played for the great man himself. So we have a real Newley connection!
We are proud for the third running to have Clifford as our MD.
