Changemakers: A Youth Activist Camp
This four day summer camp is designed for youth that want to explore social justice issues they care about. Participants develop skills in equity leadership and connect with people, organizations and tools that can be helpful for making change.
Through workshops led by 4-H high school and college volunteers, participants will Identify an issue to focus on, explore some basic tools to develop a strategy, build collective power, and use that power to create meaningful, lasting change. Workshops will include identifying root causes of inequities, strategy and power, art in activism, and storytelling.
Each day includes games, hands on activities and lunch. Our final day is a celebration of our work with bowling and pizza. Participants that attend all days receive a camp t-shirt and $25 gift card.
