Wild Wild West - Performed by the MLT Dance Academy
The iconic Wild Wild West represents many things including self-reliance, ingenuity, rugged and untouched wilderness, animal and human predators, danger and lawlessness. The risks taken living on the frontier also promised, independence, freedom and the opportunity of wealth.
The Mountlake Terrace Dance Academy staff and students have put together a collection of fun and thoughtful dances that are inspired by the beauty of the western environment including mountains, desserts, rivers, flora, fauna and the spirit of exploration. We'll take a visit to the local barn dance and watch a snake oil salesman make their sales pitch. Late night musings around the flames of a campfire under a vast starry sky lead to thoughts about who we are, where we're headed, and the seasons of life. Come see this entertaining, live show and support your dance community!
MLT Dance Academy is housed in the MLT Recreation Pavilion and is part of the city's recreation department. This city program provides academy level instruction in Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Tap, and Irish Step Dance for ages 3.5 - adult.
