Happy Hour for Happy Campers
Please join us for a delicious and elegant evening, in support of Ekone's deserving camp scholarship applicants!
Each year, we receive an increasing number of scholarship requests from families who are unable to afford tuition. In 2013, we were able to award $20,000 in scholarship support to nearly of our campers. We believe that Ekone Magic should be available to all children, regardless of their economic position. And we need your help to make this possible again for the coming summer.
In the words of a 2013 camp mom: "We had the fortune of receiving aid for Anika's camp time last year. It was one of the best experiences she ever had. She made friends, LOVED the horses and learned so much about her own interior life and emotions. There is no doubt that she wants to come to summer camp at Ekone every summer until she's off on her own life adventures as a young adult."
All that saidwe'd be honored by your presence at our first fundraising event away from the ranch. It's going to be fun! ~Hors d'oeuvres by famous Yummy Tummy Café Catering ~Beer, wine, a special ranchy cocktail, fresh lemonade, and genuine Ekone water ~Door prizes including a trail ride for two ~Dessert auction ~Most excellent company, including board and staff of Sacred Earth Foundation
This event is for adults only, but we know it can be hard to leave the kids at homeso some of our older summer campers have offered babysitting services for FREE in appreciation of your support! Just let us know if you'd like a list of sitters.
Attire is Ranch Formal (like Fridays at camp). That means showers are required, break out your clean clothes if you have any left, kick the mud off your boots, and dig into the dress-up box for something sparkly if you're inspired. Our staff will be in their going-to-town best!
Tickets may also be purchased by contacting Shonie at 509-773-4536 or shonie@ekone.org.
A thousand thanks to you for your support of Ekone Ranch and our campers!
Shonie Schlotzhauer, director, and the board and staff of Sacred Earth Foundation
