Women's Beer U: Women & Brewing
Did you know that women were the first brewers? Unbeknownst to many, the "fairer sex" has played an integral part in the making of beer ever since people began drinking it. This class highlights women's role in the art of brewing, from the past to the present. If you've ever wondered what it's like to be a woman working in the craft beer industry, then make sure you don't miss this.
Sometimes you just want to have a beer and hang out with the girls, but that can be tough when there aren't any around to talk beer shop with. Ladies, we've got just the ticket for you: a Beer U designed for women. Join Stone Brewing Co.'s Indoctrination Specialist, Kathryn Bouscaren, and Small Batch Brewer, Laura Ulrich for a chance to sample some awesome brews and learn about craft brewing - without worrying about the guys. We'll talk about things like beer styles, women in the history of brewing, what it's like as a woman working in the industry and more.
