EMILY ROEBLING: The Woman Who Saved the Brooklyn Bridge- A Special Event for Women's History Month
In tribute to Women's History Month this one hour dramatic and multimedia presentation focuses on the remarkable contribution of Emily Roebling to the building of the Brooklyn Bridge.

In her day, Emily Roebling was known as the woman who completed the Brooklyn Bridge, yet very few people today know who she was. We will share the remarkable true story of Emily Roebling, who surprised 19th Century establishment by sharing engineering duties when her husband, Washington Roebkling, became incapacitated and could not visit the condtruction site for the last 11 years of the project

This video and live-action dramatic presentation, held in celebration of Women's History Month,  profiles a woman ahead of her time.  Emily Roebling was a true pioneer who championed the abilities of women to excel in sciences and in industry, all  while supporting the strength of her the Roebling family's mission to construct the Brooklyn  Bridge
When it opened, the Brooklyn Bridge was the longest and tallest suspension bridge in the world. What is more remarkable than the bridge itself is the story of its construction.

Following personal tragedies that leave the future of the bridge in jeopardy, Emily Roebling steps in, taking over many aspects of construction and wins over the bureaucracy insuring the Roebling name is forever attached to the bridge.
